Sometimes you just have everything all set and ready to go, on your way out the door with list in hand and before you know it, poof the disappearing day.  Every time I feel like I have a handle on just what is suppose to happen, some strange mystic  sense comes along a just takes your plan and moves it to another place and time.  Just watch this video and see if you feel this way sometimes!!

In the Spirit of Christmas we went to Skid Row on a Dee Duncan Crusade to help the homeless. This was such an awesome feeling just to know that people are still around that do care. If you want a wake up call as to just how good you have it?  Please take a look at the video.

After a good Christmas morning my wife and I went to my dad’s to enjoy our family tradition. great time and back to Orange County. Got together with our friends and just a nice finish to a beautiful day. We went to Downtown Disney in Anaheim. This is one of our favorite things to do when we just want to get out of the house and see something different. Oh and did I mention it dose not cost a thing!  So enjoy a night at Downtown Disney watching fireworks.

Geriatric Dirty Dancing – This is just to show you that it doesn’t matter what your age or time frame is you still can have fun with dancing. As you can see once you learn to dance, there are now limits to the different moves and styles you can do. This video is with West Coast style and I’m sure you will like it.  Dancing is one of the great forms of exercise as well as a great tool for self expression.

I will be posting one more video from my learn to dance group. Then we might have a routine put together for videos to follow. Keep an eye out for it, should be fun.

Check out the link below and really see what you can do with dancing at 87 years!

Next time you are sore after a long night of dancing, look at this gal !!

Learn To Dance – Lesson 4  is a beginning Swing with some variations of different steps. This is the East Coast Swing and is one of the easiest and best couple styles that you could learn. Because of the nature that there is no strict guide lines on which way to do the dance, you can just enjoy it.

In the first video you will see Rebecca and I demonstrating some nice simple moves at witch we just have fun but following the basic rules of the dance. Nothing fancy but enjoyable.

In the next videos you will see my students learning the basic East Coast Swing steps and a few variation of hand movements.  Hope you are enjoying the videos and please feel free to leave comments. Thank You

Learn To Dance – Lesson 3 is just a review of some basic Salsa and then a journey into the basic swing. This is call the East Coast Swing and is one of the favorites for couples in the social dance styles.  There is East Coast which allows you to move around the floor in easy patterns of turns and tricks. West Coast style which is a more controlled and what is called slot style swing dance.  Other styles of swing are the Jive, Jitter Bug, and the Lindy Hop.

For the most part the younger people from an average age of 25 down, the Lindy hop, Jitter Bug and Jive are among the favorites because they are high energy dances.  The E & W coast is a more functional dance for all ages because of the patterns and general moves allow you to engineer your way on a dance floor. If you learn to dance in the style that suits you best you will find that you will have much more fun and no one gets hurt if done properly.

I also want to say that just because you see younger people doing the high energy dances doesn’t mean it is only for them. Once you learn to dance in any style the ability to maneuver through the different styles of dance become a piece of cake. You learn your limits but we don’t always want to admit it!!  Every once in awhile we forget why we don’t do those hard steps and then our bodies let us know.
